I just read a letter to the editor in the local paper that was simply "thank you to the stranger who found my purse in the Walmart parking lot and returned it intact to the store". It restored this person's faith in humanity.
I had cause to say the same thing last week when, due to a scheduling error, had too many students show up for a class and one very nice woman offered her space to the other man, saying that she would be less inconvenienced than he. She did it in a very genuine and cheerful way and I was reminded, I think we all were, of how touching simple consideration is.
I want to know about other "faith in humanity" stories! Got any?

ya know, I WAS gonna say "no waaaaay, jose... not today" after a long day doing Bisbee biz... but as I live and breathe, my faith was restored tonight by a very simple thing... a call from a friend. Unsolicited. Understated. Understanding... and totally Unexpected! For though I think, believe and feel as if this person is a true friend, I'd never spoken out loud with them before! As I chattered away I felt lighter and lighter... as if every bit of crapola I experienced today just wandered on down the phone line, and disappeared! Yes sis... there IS humanity, kindness, compassion and genuine niceness left in the world. I've always believed it to be true... but certainly hadnt felt a lot of it recently... so there's my tale of human spirit for today.
I wondered what happened to you last weekend! I left your number at work on a stickie. I stuck the stickie on my computer screen - you know, so I wouldn't forget it and DUH, oh well. So typical of me lately. But, we had a car breakdown...actually, two cars, so it would have been tough for us to get together. Good stories! Always nice to hear the good people stories, huh?
btw, my friend and co-worker who took the motor cycle course from your friends, the one who was in a serious accident, said the class saved his life.
His name is Alex Rodriquez. He was telling me today that something little he learned, something about letting go of the bike, probably saved his life! He's an amazing person and I really like him a like. He often comes in to work and hugs me. Anyway, you guys saved a really good one I can vouch for that!! Thanks, from Alex and from me!!!
Are you sure WalMart didn't send the letter themselves to overcome the bad feelings about them? :)
:whistles innocently:
